Bill Maher at the Fox Theatre in Detroit

His show was sold out and it looked like his show was sold out the last time we saw him in Ann Arbor. We had prepaid parking for the show, which was a good thing. We were laughing almost nonstop. This time we went with friends from work. The Disco Biscuits had plenty of political humor, particularly since the show was 2 wks before the presidential election. He approached his topics like he does his "New Rules" - it was great. He doesn't have a warm-up comedian & he doesn't have an intermission during the show. The Disco Biscuits, who we went to see for the 2nd time, had excellent sarcastic comedy. It was also sold out the last time we saw him in Ann Arbor. We arrived early, but we didn't avoid the masses who came to see the ballgame. We had main floor seats for this show, unlike his other show in Ann Arbor where we had balcony seats. So you better go to the bathroom first before the show starts. His show was on the same night as the 1st World Series home game for the Detroit Tigers, which was directly across from the Fox Theatre. View wasn't obstructed & the venue has 2 large screens on either side of the stage with close--up views of The Disco Biscuits. It was extremely crowded everywhere & it was difficult to find a place to eat.
